Concerns have been raised with local councillors, council officers and the police by residents, in particular their feelings of safety in public space and the prevalence of anti-social behaviour in the community.

A multi-agency project has been launched in Barton to challenge behaviours of perpetrators, offering support where needed, designing out unsafe areas and installing relevant security measures.
The project will aim to provide the community with reassurance; engage with local people to understand the challenges and develop on-going approaches to address concerns.
